MONTREAT’S SPRING EVELYN GREEN RETREAT
April 11-13, 2008
“Reconnecting with the Kingdom: New Life for Presbyterian Congregations” is a time to learn about congregations that are finding new life by engaging their tradition and affirming their identity in fresh ways. This event is designed for teams of pastors and lay leaders (ideally a pastor and Session or delegation from the Session). For creative change to occur, there needs to be a leadership team sharing the vision and committed as a group to leading change.

Administrative Professionals Week
April 20-26, 2008
Wednesday, April 23 is Administrative Professionals Day
This annual event was originally organized in 1952 as “National Secretaries Week” by the National Secretaries Association (now known as the International Association of Administrative Professionals) in an effort to recognize secretaries for their contributions in the workplace and to attract people to secretarial/administrative careers. In 2000, the name was changed to Administrative Professionals Week to keep pace with changing job titles and expanding responsibilities to today’s administrative workforce.
We celebrate our church administrative professionals and thank you for answering the call (and all of ours)!
Suggestions for Administrative Professionals Week include:
- Provide registration for a professional development seminar to build the individual’s technical, interpersonal or business skills.
- Support membership in appropriate networking and professional associations.
- Encourage study for and attainment of professional certification.
Pastors and sessions are asked to please consider that all three can be accomplished through membership participation in the PC(USA) Administrative Personnel Association!
