The Eagles Wings Foundation is an Interfaith, nonprofit organization that responds to the initial phases of a disaster. Founded by Scott Lewis (a member of Memorial Presbyterian Church in West Palm Beach) has over 200 GIS cell phones that can be programmed for a variety of different functions. The Presbytery of Tropical Florida has a Memorandum of understanding with EWF that connects our 2 organizations and is on file at the office.

  • Damage Assessments - After a hurricane the Eagles Wings Foundation (EWF) volunteers go out into the damage zones to take inventory of what has been damaged. The information is then sent to a map and an Excel spread sheet that is easily transferable to any Government Agencies for dissemination and deployment.
  • Training - EWF offers trainings upon request. Volunteers can be trained and certified to work with the organization and age or disabilities are no obstacle. For more information visit their website at: http://www.theeagleswingsfoundation.org
  • Haitian Earthquake - On January 14th 2010 Jeff Waycott was deployed to Haiti with the (EWF) as their Logistics person and on the ground in Haiti for 2 weeks. While there we worked with many organizations and agencies and in 8 days of feeding the Haitian people through the World Food Program we were able to Distribute 2.4 Million dry meals with 7 people on the ground and 8 people back at the home base in Palm Beach County.
